If you haven't already, I cannot recommend Ali Millar's memoir The Last Days highly enough. Having had the misfortune of growing up in the same high control religion as Ali, I can tell you that every page burns true.
Thanks Eleanor. I could never articulate as powerfully as Ali does. And of course, it must be owned that whilst we experienced much that was frighteningly similar, being a boy/man in such an extreme patriarchy, whilst not protecting you from all harm, is a big advantage.
